Old man Tree – Port Sydney 2014

Old Man Tree 2014 (13)
Some of the locals call this tree, “The Giving Tree”, others call it, “The Old Man.” I prefer the latter…being a little crusty myself I think we have a few things in common!

  3. Thank you for liking “Hello Spring!” and “Spring Equinox.” Nice photo! šŸ™‚ I like the texture of the tree bark and the moving water. And thanks for sharing background information about the tree. šŸ™‚

  4. Very nice- I have a photo of a tree that looks very similar to yours. It grows in Lilacia Park in Lombard , IL.

Thanks Katherine. I’d love to see that tree sometime. It seems every community has something special about it, but old trees are something I look for. Perhaps it has something to do with longevity, and a sense of permanency in this instant world we live in.
Thanks for dropping by. ~ Dave

  5. Although I don’t see an old man, I prefer that name, too!

I relate… The wisdom found in the old trees as well as the aches and pains… Very nice.
