They were elderly polish Jews that went about the usa cities with a carriage pulled by a horse. Inside the carriage was a weigh scale to measure the weight of rags purchased from individuals. Also the rag man would chant a slogan-like song… “Rag man, rag man…” LOL!
I love it! Photos and memories like this one remind me of urban peddlers called rag men. You my not know of them…🤔
