One of my goals this winter in Florida was to do a painting of a famous place in Tuscany, Italy. With paint brush in one hand, and a glass of wine in the other, I completed that goal this week. A few friends came over for the unveiling. I have not painted in over five years. This was a 1st jab at getting back into it. Hope you enjoy! ~ Dave

Florida 2018 and beyond……
Like many Canadians I’ve decided to relocate, for a while, in the warmth of the southern State of Florida…at least until the spring when I shall reemerged in the north suntanned and unscathed by the cicatrix of a Canadian winter. Actually, this will be my first complete winter in the south whereas in years gone by I would merely tease myself with a few weeks here and there. Hopefully the next six months will be filled with photographic evidence of a wise decision, lol!
The harbinger of this latest adventure has been noted by the birth of several baby cactus’s strewn about the lawn and the proud parent gleaming in the foreground of this photograph. Photos of the kids are forthcoming!

This may be my last post for a few weeks…I will be away (work related). I will pop in if I can, but otherwise have a great June. ~ Dave
